Sand dune formations of impressive size and a seemingly endless sandy beach characterize the picture-perfect Blåvand. The hinterland additionally consists of large, original heath and forest landscapes. This causes many vacationers to return year after year to this breathtaking part of the North Sea coast, which fascinates at any time of the year. Blåvand is also an excellent area for bird watching. The prominent location on the reef causes many migratory birds to use Blåvand and Skallingen as resting and feeding places.
